How can you not be tickled with a sweet story behind a surprise wedding. Yep, I said it, a surprise wedding. I was so excited when the bride Lindsey dropped me a precious note about her special day. Lindsey and her fiancé just love surprises, so they thought that a surprise wedding would be perfect! I just love this different take on the traditional style wedding. They take it outside the box and put a twist on the average ‘I do’s.’ The brides adorable vibrant marigold Nanette Lepore dress and their amazing announcements by Hound Dog Press add the perfect amount of unique style. A vintage vibe shines through the fantastic photography by Willie Wilson Photography. I’ve included a little blurb from the sweet bride about how this surprise wedding came to life. These two are too cute! {and super spontaneous! love it!}
After dating for six years, our families were quite relieved/excited when we finally decided to take the plunge and announce our engagement in October. In December, we invited our families to join us for an important “Meet the Family” dinner (after 6 years of dating, all members of our family had not formally met!). The plan was to meet at Windy Corner Market in Lexington (close to Paris) for a casual afternoon but we contacted everyone that morning to let them know that they needed to take a detour, to meet us at 102 Hutchison Road. They all gathered and SURPRISE, the wedding.We literally dropped our announcements in the mail on the way to the church and following the ceremony had dinner with the family at Windy Corner. We sent a text to friends to join us at Jonathan’s bar (at Gratz Park Inn) for a late night drink.
This should add a little lovely to your Tuesday afternoon. Enjoy!

I LOVE this! Shows the couple’s personality and they are surrounded by the people they love and the people that love them. That’s what a wedding should be! So cute!
I couldn’t agree more! I love everything about this!
Lindsey – you look beautiful, the photos are awesome (go Willie) and I’m astounded at your ability to pull this off in our family! Congrats to you both!
I love this!!!
